Joining Glenn Gawdin as a force on forward returning to the Swift Current Broncos for the coming season is 2016-17 top-scorer Tyler Steenbergen.

Steenbergen was released from Arizona Coyotes training camp on Monday. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound forward was drafted in the fifth round at 128 overall this past summer by the Coyotes, after enjoying a 51-goal, 90-point season with the Broncos.

The Sylvan Lake, Alta.-native had eight goals and 14 points in 14 playoff games last postseason.

The Broncos open the 2017-18 regular season in Saskatoon Friday against the Blades. They don't return to Swift Current until they host the Kootenay ICE in the fifth Broncos game of the season on October 7.
