A busy day in the pool, on the pitch, and on the volleyball court for Swift Current athletes at the Canada Summer Games.

Jenae Ruetz was competing in the Women's Special Olympics 50m Breaststroke and 100m Freestyle, and Tyler Piercy-Servant was competing in the Men's Special Olympics 50m Breaststroke and 100m Freestyle. Both Ruetz and Piercy-Servant fell short of advancing from the heat stage to the final in both of their races, but look to continue the hunt for a medal today in the 100m Backstroke.

As well, a tough day for Tobi Ojo in Men's Soccer, as Team Sask dropped their match with Nova Scotia 4-0. Ojo and Team Sask await today's result of British Columbia and Nova Scotia to determine their fate between the medal round and the consolation round.

Wrapping up the day were two games for Henry Rempel and Braedon Friesen in Men's Volleyball. Team Sask lost game one in straight sets (15-25, 11-25, 17-25) to Team B.C., but came back with a straight set victory of their own against Prince Edward Island (25-18, 25-14, 25-17). Sitting at 2-1, Friesen and Rempel now look to a game against 0-3 Team Yukon today.
