Jeff Chambers, Elmwood Golf & Country Club's Head Golf Professional, cruised to a tournament win at the Taylormade ProAm at Moon Lake Golf & Country Club on Monday and Tuesday this week.

The Head Golf Professional at Elmwood posted rounds of -7 (65) and -2 (70) over the two-day tournament for a blistering -9 (135) overall.

After the opening round 65, the low round of the tournament, Chambers' game stayed steady while others in the field seemed to falter. His lead after round one was three shots - despite tacking on another five strokes in the second round, the lead still increased by an additional two shots, with second place finishing at -4 (140).

The win means more than just a crack at the $20,000 purse for Chambers, as the victory means the golf pro has gained exemption into the 2018 PGA of Canada Championship.

Also in the field at the Taylormade ProAm, and securing a top-10 finish, was Elmwood's Assistant Professional Brennan Rumancik, who finished in eighth place at +3 (147) after rounds of 70 and 77.
