After 15 years in the NHL, Shaunavon's Braydon Coburn is a Stanley Cup champion.

The Tampa Bay defenseman earned his name on the Cup after the Lightning beat the Dallas Stars 2-0 at Edmonton's Rogers Place on Monday to clinch the final series in six games and end a delayed NHL playoff tournament played in a bubble environment amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Coburn, in his sixth season with the Lightning, played 40 games in the shortened regular season, scoring one goal and four points. He did not play in any playoff games in the Toronto or Edmonton bubbles, but still joined his teammates for the post-game handshakes and the trophy presentation, and finally got a chance to carry the Stanley Cup in his third finals appearance.

It's unknown when or if Coburn will get a chance to bring the Stanley Cup to Shaunavon for his day with the Cup with the ongoing uncertainty surrounding COVID-19.

This is Tampa Bay's second Stanley Cup title and first since 2003-04 when they defeated the Calgary Flames. Victor Hedman won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.
