It came down to the final end, but the Ryan Deis-led rink out of Fox Valley fell just short of capturing an event win at the Sask Curling Tour's Player's Championship in Swift Current over the weekend.
Team Deis fell 5-3 in the final to the Kody Hartung-led rink out of Saskatoon.

The Deis rink amassed a 5-2 record over the event, with the lone other loss coming in a 4-2 conceded contest to that same Hartung team.
Team Deis won 5-4 over the Jeff Hartung rink. won 6-3 over Team Virtue, smoked Team Armstrong 9-1.
They then edged Team Comfort 5-4 in the quarter-final, before a 7-4 victory in the semis over the Gedak rink.
Elsewhere at the event, Cabri's Shaun Meachem was the third on Team Kalthoff out of Saskatoon.
The Jeff Chambers-coached Kalthoff rink went 2-3, losing 5-4 to Team Meyer in the C Event with a shot at a quarter-final berth on the line.
