A southwest Saskatchewan match-up in the final of the Senior men's AA tier 5 provincial championship over the weekend.

The Gull Lake Greyhounds and Shaunavon Badgers met in the final game of the season in Windthorst, with Gull Lake taking the title 11-4.

Tyson Migneault pitched the complete game for the Greyhounds to secure the victory.

Both teams took opposite routes to get to the provincial final, as Shaunavon lost 7-5 to the Windthorst Pirates, and lost 8-7 to the Regina Red Dogs in their round robin games, before bouncing back with a 2-0 win against the Red Dogs in the semi-final.

Meanwhile, Gull Lake cruised to a perfect record with a 12-2 win over the Beechy Breakers, and a 10-5 win over the Kenaston Cannons in round robin play. The Greyhounds secured a bye to the final, where they inevitably continued their winning ways to claim their title as provincial champs.
