Playing three games in three days the Kabos Bantam 'AA' Broncos managed to get back into the win column on Sunday following a pair of tough losses to start the weekend.

After a 5-4 overtime loss to the Saskatoon Maniacs on Friday and a 5-4 regulation loss to the North East Wolfpack on Saturday, the Broncos responded on Sunday.

In Humboldt to finish their three game road trip, Swift Current used their power-play to help propel them to a 6-5 victory.

Despite being outshot 14-5 in the opening frame, the Kabos Broncos managed to take a 1-0 lead into the intermission on a goal from Reed Jacobson.

In the second, Swift Current used the man-advantage to build up their lead.

Twice, Levi Lamotte scored on the power-play, extending Swift Current's lead to 3-0, before Rhett Evjen put home his 8th goal of the season, an even-strength tally to go up 4-0.

However, with just 47 seconds remaining in the period, the Broncos managed to get on the board and spark some momentum their favour heading into the final frame.

After Jacobson netted his second goal of the game and Swift Current's third power-play goal of the game, Humboldt used their own power-play to get back into the contest.

Three straight goals with the man-advantage for Humboldt within 2:05 of each other, quickly cut the Kabos Bronco's lead down to 5-4 with still 8:21 left to play.

For Swift Current though, they would once again take full advantage of another power-play opportunity themselves.

With just under six minutes to play, Hayden Wilm found the back of the net put Swift Current up 6-4.

Humboldt would once again trim the lead back down to one in the final minute, but that would be as close as they would get as the Kabos Broncos left town with a 6-5 win.

With the victory, Swift Current pulled within two points of Yorkton for first place in the South Division.

They will be back on the ice Wednesday when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors.
