The Leader Saints came home with some hardware after some tough competition at Sr. Boys 2A Volleyball Provincials. The tournament was hosted by Melfort and Kinistino.

"They were very confident they could do. They definitely played the best volleyball of their year," Coach Lana Marshall said the team played great through the entire weekend. "They have been strong all year, but it really came together at the right time."

Leader started off the weekend strong, by beating Kinistino and Montmartre in their games. The third game, the Saints played a tough battle, but fell short to Medstead. The fourth round robin game the finished victoriously against Ecole Canadienne of Saskatoon.

In the playoffs, Leader won against Minahik Waskahigan, but fell to Wawota, putting them in the bronze medal game.

Marshall said the game, which lasted three sets, was a nail-biter of a game, "It was a dog fight for all three sets, point for point. It was so stressful but amazing."

Leader Saints were able to overcome the Wilkie McLurg Broncs to earn their bronze medal.
