The 2016/17 season officially came to an end over the weekend for the Home Hardware Midget 'AAA' Legionnaires.

Already eliminated from playoff contention, the Legionnaires wrapped up their season with a pair of road games in Tisdale.

Unfortunately for Swift Current they were unable to end their season on a high, dropping both contests despite outshooting the Trojans in each game.

On Saturday, the Legionnaires got a pair of goals from Rin Beny, however, it was not enough as the Trojans skated away with a 6-4 victory.

Swift Current Bronco's prospect Ethan Regnier also found the back of the net in the loss, along with Jake Misskey.

The Legionnaires outshot Tisdale 36-27 in the game.

Moving on to Sunday, it was more of the same for Swift Current.

They once again controlled the shot-clock, but it did not show in the final score, falling 3-2.

Regnier was able to find the back of the net again the loss, while Mkyllan Couture picked up his first goal of the season.

In the end, shots favoured Swift Current 33-28, but the weekend concluded with two losses.

Following the two defeats, the Legionnaires finished their season with a record of 14-25-0-5.
