With one round left to play, Shaunavon's Hannah MacNeil is in good shape at the 67th Saskatchewan Junior Women's provincial Golf Championship being played at the Chinook Golf Club.

Needing a top four spot to earn a berth to Nationals, as well as the Canada Summer Games, MacNeil shot an 83 on Tuesday to move into a tie for second place.

MacNeil's second round was a one shot improvement from her opening round 84 on Monday, and has her 11 shots clear of fifth place.

Chloe Sies (81-77-158) is currently holds the lead entering the final day of competition.

On the boy's side, it was a tough day for Swift Current's Griffin Wilson.

Following an opening round 75, Wilson finished his round on Tuesday with an 84 dropping him into a tie for 21st.

The Elmwood member is still the leader among southwest competitors.

Swift Current's Ethan Fizell is tied for 27th following an 82 on Tuesday.

Kirk Humphrey of Eastend shot an 87 to sit tied for 30th, while Maple Creek's Ruben Cooper is also tied for 30th following a second round score of 85.

Both provincial events will wrap up on Wednesday.
