The Swift Current Abbey Resources Midget AA Broncos continue their climb up the league standings after two wins this weekend.

The Midget Broncos are 3-1-1-0 so far in 2018, and sit at 15-7-4-2 overall. That mark is good for a tie for second in the league standings with the Estevan Bruins at 36 points - both teams trail the Regina Rangers by a single point.

This comes after a weekend sweep of their competition - a 6-1 Saturday win at home against the Notre Dame Hounds, and a 5-2 road win on Sunday over the Lumsden/Bethune Lions.

It was a fairly even point distribution over the weekend with ten different Midget Broncos recording points.

Beau Larson put up four goals in two games, while Quinn Patenaude had a pair to go along with two assists to both lead the way offensively.

Ryland Hornung (1 G, 2 A) and John Priela (3 A) also averaged over a point-per-game.

Colt Kornfeld (1 G, 1 A), Matthew Christianson (2 A), Cole Meyer (1 G), Brock Herter (1 G), JC Knight (1 A), and Hendrik DeKlerk (1 A) also put up points, while both Brad Nyen (Saturday) and Jacob Herman (Sunday) recorded W's in goal for Swift.

The Midget AA Broncos have a weekend break from the league schedule until a January 27 contest at Fairview West against the Estevan Bruins.
