The Midget AAA 57s were on the road yesterday for a double header against the Southeast twins, and were on the losing end of an identical pair of scores.

They fell 9-7 in games 1 and 2, though the storylines in each game were quite different.

Game 1:

The 57s jumped out to a 2-1 lead after the first inning, and led 3-1 heading into the seventh and final frame.

There, the 57s piled on four more runs to take the commanding 7-1 lead.

However, an eight-run frame in the home half of the seventh inning for the Twin spelled the crushing come-from-behind walkoff win over the Midget AAA 57s.

Brock Wall, Mac Gross, and Brody Alexandre all had two RBI games.

Logan Fritzke went 2-for-2 with two walks and added the seventh RBI for Swift, but was charged with the loss on the mound.

Game 2:

The 57s jumped out to a lead once again in the second contest, with a four-run frame in the third inning.

The Southeast Twins answered back in the bottom of the fourth inning with an overwhelming seven-run effort.

Two more runs in the home half of the sixth inning made it a 9-4 score for the Twins.

With their backs against the wall in the top of the seventh inning, Swift Current rallied for a trio of runs, but couldn't fully complete the comeback.

Big performances at the plate in the game came from Nolan Klein who had three RBI, as well as Mac Gross who had a pair once again.

Brock Wall was the losing pitcher.

The Midget AAA 57s are next in action at home this Saturday against the Saskatoon Giants.
