The Midget AAA 57s had a tough weekend on the road, getting out-scored 38-20 over four games.

Mac Gross and Brady Bell drove in the only runs in an 8-2 loss to the Saskatoon Giants on Saturday. Swift followed that up in Game 2 of the double-header with an 18-13 win in a shootout.

The Midget AAA 57s used four RBI from Logan Fritzke, three from both Brody Alexandre and Joe Arntsen, as well as two from Nic Bachiu and Gross in the win.

Fritkze reached base all six times in the game, going 4-for-4 and adding two walks. Nolan Klein recorded the win on the mound for Swift.

Sunday wasn't kind to Swift Current as, battling in Lloydminster, the 57s were shutout in both games of a double-header with the Northwest Pirates.

Swift Current fell 6-0 and 11-0. The two contests were the Pirates' first two wins of the season (2-6).

The Midget AAA 57s (4-10) are back on the road again next weekend for a Sunday double-header against the Southeast Twins.
