Looking to get off on the right foot, the Kabos Bantam 'AA' Broncos will begin their South Division semi-final series Wednesday night.

The Broncos will get the best of three series underway when they welcome the Regina Monarchs to the Fairview West Arena.

The two teams had very similar seasons as they get set to renew acquaintances for the first time since November 6th.

Swift Current and Regina both finished the regular season with 19 wins, however the seconded seeded Broncos did have three more points than the third seeded Monarchs, giving Swift Current home-ice advantage in the series.

The Broncos and Monarchs also met twice this season with both games resulting in ties.

On November 6th, they played to a 3-3 tie in Swift Current, having already played to a 2-2 tie October 9th in Regina.

Swift Current does enter the series with the more prolific offence, however.

The Broncos tallied 52 more goals than Regina during the season, but the Monarchs only allowed 58 goals all year, a league best.

Wednesday night's game one is scheduled to get underway at 8:00pm from Fairview West.

Game two will be played in Regina on Friday.
