A pair of Swift Current golfers are on the course today in Yorkton.

Kathy Hopfner and Denise Wilson are teeing off in the three-round 57th Saskatchewan Senior Women's Championship at the Deer Park Municipal Golf Course.

13 women are competing this year, chasing three-time champion Jo-Anne Schiller of Lloydminster.

Hopfner is no stranger to the competition, tying for third in last year's tournament at the Royal Regina Golf Club with a combined round score of 251.

This is Wilson's first time in the Senior Women's Championship. At last year's Regina Ladies Open, she ended in fifth with a combined 156.

The Saskatchewan Senior Championships mark the final provincial event for the 2020 season.

Hopfner teed off for round one 8:20 a.m. with Wilson 20 minutes later.

After 9 holes, they sit tied for second behind Sue Skinner from Rosetown.
