Set to begin what could be as many as nine games in a row against each other, the Swift Current Broncos and Moose Jaw Warriors will meet Friday night at the Credit Union iPlex.

The two teams will play a home and home to finish the regular season before meeting each other in the playoffs, which will begin on March 24th.

With Swift Current already locked into the third seed in the East Division, they have been focusing on finding the right balance of rest for players, while still keep them sharp for their playoff run.

One of the beneficiaries of Swift Current's regular skaters getting rest was the newest member of the Broncos, Ethen Regnier.

The former Home Hardware Legionnaire made his WHL debut in Brandon on Tuesday and says there is certainly a learning curve, playing in the WHL.

"It was a lot different than Midget 'AAA'," he said.

"It was a lot faster, but overall I think it was really good."

The Prince Albert native posted 54 points with the Legionnaires in 44 games this season and was thrilled to wear the Broncos jersey for the first time.

"Just putting it on before warm-up's and then being out there singing Oh Canada and seeing all of the people, it was pretty neat," he said.

Regnier did not record a point in his WHL debut.

Although hopeful to make an impact on the scoresheet, the forward is just hoping to make a positive impression with the coaching staff, anyway possible.

"I want to show them what kind of player I am and for myself, I just want to see how things work and see what I need to work on in the summer," he said.

"It will all help drive me through work-outs during the summer and then we will see what happens in the fall."

In their four meetings so far this season, the Broncos have only been able to defeat the Warriors once in a 6-1 victory on December 27th.

Following Friday night's meeting, the two teams will wrap up their regular season schedules Saturday night in Moose Jaw.

You can catch all of the action between the Broncos and Warriors live on The Eagle 94.1 with Robertson Family Group Broncos Hockey beginning at 6:30pm.

Puck drop from the Credit Union iPlex is scheduled for just after 7:00pm.
