A familiar face is back with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as the team signed international running back Cameron Marshall to the practice roster on Monday.

Marshall dressed in ten games for the Riders last season, rushing for 543 yards on 101 carries with two touchdowns before injuring his knee.

That knee injury helped contribute to Marshall being released before the start of training camp in May when he failed a physical.

Marshall will join a backfield that features Marcus Thigpen and Tre Mason.

The Riders also announced on Monday that international defensive lineman Curt Maggitt has been activated from the team's injured list.

The second bye week of the season wraps up for the Riders on Wednesday when they hit the field at Mosaic Stadium to start preparing for Sunday's showdown with the Calgary Stampeders.
