After a hot start to the 2018 6-man football season, the Gull Lake Lions cooled off slightly on Monday.

The Lions fell 40-26 on the road against the LCBI Bisons to fall back to 1-1 on the season.

Offensively, Daylan Radtke scored a pair of touchdowns for the Lions, rushing for 70 yards on six carries.

Quarterback Carson Krogsgaard completed 50 percent of his passes (2 of 4) for 57 yards and a touchdown. He added 15 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown as well.

Krogsgaard's passing TD came on a 51-yard heave to Anthony Lamarre.

Elswhere in the ground game, Brandt Leppa ran for 66 yards on 13 carries, Branson Woodward ran six times for 56 yards, and Ian Mittleholtz earned 14 yards on three carries.

Meanwhile, Radke duplicated the dominance on the defensive end as well, piling up 14 tackles and a knockdown.

Aiden Slade added seven tackles and an interception, while Leppa added another pick and six tackles.

The Lions won't have to wait long to try and jump over the .500 mark again. They're on the road in Central Butte on Friday taking on a Bulldogs team they topped 35-8 in their opener.
