Team South West athletes showed strong in Day 1 of the Saskatchewan Winter Games in North Battleford. 

Men's Curling:

Team Lautsch (Swift Current) defeated South East 9-7 in Draw 1, defeated Parkland Valley 6-3 in Draw 2.

Gymnastics:

Team South West placed 8th with a combined score of 126.39 in Team Mixed Gymnastics (25.55 in Women's Artistic, 100.84 in Trampoline).

Men's Hockey:

Team South West defeated Team Rivers West 4-3 in Game 1 of Pool B action. The South West lost 6-2 to Team South East in Game 2. Currently sit T-2 in Pool B at 1-1.

Judo:

Tori Hallam (Herbert) finished 4th in 40kg Female Individual Competition.
Conner Hammer (Swift Current) wins Silver in 55kg Male Individual Competition.
Ghrandozz Aguilar (Swift Current) wins Gold in 60+kg Male Individual Competition.

Target Shooting:

Brody Slade and Alexa Atem (Tompkins) failed to place in Team Air Rifle Mixed.
Alexa Atem finished 11th in Super Final Air Rifle Female.
Brody Slade won bronze in Super Final Air Rifle Male.
Royal Harvey (Tompkins) placed 5th in Super Final Air Rifle Male.
Braedyn Magee (Tompkins) placed 9th in Super Finale Air Rifle Male.
