Gold medal aspirations for Midget ‘AAA’ 57’s infielder Logan Fritzke and Team Sask at the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg.

Their semi-final win against Team Ontario finally saw the scoreboard light up for Saskatchewan, cruising to a 7-0 win - the team's previous high for runs scored was four in round robin play, after averaging less than three runs per game throughout the tournament.

In the win, Fritzke recorded his second multi-hit game of the tournament, as he grabbed a pair of singles and drew a walk in three at-bats.

Team Sask pitcher Connor Sparks dominated on the mound in the semis, tossing a four-hit, five-inning shutout.

In the other semi final, host Team Manitoba edged Team Alberta 1-0.

Primed for a match-up with their neighbours to the east for top spot at the Canada Summer Games, Team Sask will look to take home the gold tonight at 6.
