Swift Current's Brody Alexandre and Jackson Fraser, along with Team Prairie Purple lost and tied on Day 1 of the T12 baseball prospect showcase in Toronto.

The pair of southwest standouts and Prairie Purple lost 1-0 to Team Atlantic Maroon and tied 1-1 with Team Quebec Blue.

Against Atlantic Maroon, Alexandre got the start at third base, and hit fourth in the lineup. He went 0-for-2 with a walk and two strikeouts.

Meanwhile against Quebec, Fraser got the start on the mound. The righty tossed three innings, giving up three hits and three walks, but striking out six batters over his scoreless outing.

Prairie Purple has the day off from the game schedule today, with just an hour-long scouting session on the agenda.
