Five southwest Saskatchewan skaters and one Swift Current Broncos bantam draft pick were named to SaskFirst fall camps and final rosters.

Heading to the Male U16 fall camp as the lone southwest representative on the 26-skater roster is Kabos 'AA' Bantam Broncos leading scorer Reed Jacobson (39 goals, 31 assists in 29 games), who was drafted in the 6th round (115th overall) by the Spokane Chiefs. Joining Jacobson on the U16 camp roster is goaltender Ethan Hein, the Swift Current Broncos' third-round (57th overall) selection, who posted a 14-2-0 record and a 2.37 GAA with the Saskatoon Bantam 'AA' Maniacs this past season.

Male U16 fall camp will take place in Wilcox from September 14 - 17.

Gull Lake's Taylor Kirwan, a Diamond Energy Female Midget 'AAA' Wildcats blue-liner, was named to the Female U18 25-skater fall camp roster the same week as she was announced as part of Hockey Canada's National Women's Under-18 team. Last season with the Wildcats, Kirwan had three goals and ten assists in 19 regular season games, and another goal and assist in seven playoff games.

Joining Kirwan at the Female U18 fall camp is a familiar figure behind the bench - Wildcats head coach Terry Pavely. Pavely will serve as head coach for the Female U18 team.

Former Wildcat Alex Gray, who last played for Swift Current in the 2015-16 season, also joins Kirwan and her former coach on the roster.

The U18 Female SaskFirst fall camp will take place in Wilcox from September 21 - 24.

Rounding out the southwest skaters are a duo of Diamond Energy Female Midget 'AAA' Wildcats, and one Female Midget 'AA' Broncos player who made final cuts for SaskFirst's Female U16 Team Saskatchewan.

Represented on the 20-player roster are Shaunavon's Taylor Lind, Swift Current's Kenedee Klevgaard, and Gull Lake's Bailey Kirwan.

In 28 games last season, Lind led the Wildcats in scoring with 58 points (36 goals, 22 assists). Klevgaard was second out of the two Wildcats forwards on the Team Sask roster with seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) over 28 games. Bailey Kirwan was second in the Female Midget 'AA' league last season with 39 points (29 goals, 10 assists).

The Female U16 Team Sask Showcase will take place in Swift Current from September 7th to 10th.
