Former Swift Current Broncos forward Calvin Spencer is starting his career in professional hockey.

After wrapping up his last WHL season with the Vancouver Giants, Spencer signed a contract with the Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL.

The big power forward had 16 goals and 13 assists as has split his season between Swift Current and Vancouver.

Spencer played 230 games in his WHL career.

He is the brother of Winnipeg Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien.
