Over the weekend the Swift Current Atom, Peewee, and Midget AA Broncos were in action.


The Swift Current Tarpon Energy Atom AA Broncos faced off against the Weyburn Drillers in back to back games over the weekend.

In game one on Saturday, the teams went goal for goal and tied 4-4.

Ryder Woods and Parker Rondeau both picked up four-point nights as Woods had three goals and an assist, and Rondeau had a goal and three assists.

In game two Sunday the Broncos almost blew a two-goal lead, but some late-game heroics saw them take the win.

Swift Current got off to a two-goal lead with goals from Aidan Robinson, Derric Dularte.

In the second both teams scored a pair of goals.

The Broncos entered the third with a 4-2 lead, but the lead didn't last as Weyburn scored their third unanswered goal to tie the game up at 4.

The game was looking like it was going to end in another 4-4 tie, but with 58 seconds left Ty Switzer scored to give the Broncos the lead and the eventual win.

Ryder Woods and Derric Dularte finished the weekend with five points, and Parker Rondeau finished the weekend with three goals and three assists.

The Atom AA Broncos remain undefeated on the season with 10 wins and now one tie.


The Swift Current Southwest Terminal Peewee AA Broncos played back to back games against the Yorkton Terriers on Saturday and Sunday.

In Saturday's game, the Terriers jumped out to a two-goal lead before Connor Choo-Foo scored to make it a one-goal game.

Yorkton answered back less than two minutes later to restore their two-goal lead going into the third.

In the third, both teams traded goals, and Yorkton skated off with a 4-2 win.

In game two both teams traded goals as it ended in a 5-5 tie.

Connor Choo-Foo led the way for the Broncos picking up four points, including a hat-trick giving him four goals on the weekend, and Jace Bymoen picked up a goal and two assists.

Captain Carter Herman had three assists throughout the weekend as the only Broncos to pick up more than two points.

The Broncos and Terriers will face off for the third straight time, when the Broncos travel to Yorkton on December 15th.


The Swift Current Abbey Resources Midget AA Broncos maintained their .500 pace over their last six games as they lost yesterday afternoon to the Weyburn Drillers 6-1.

The Drillers got off to an early lead and never looked back as they scored three goals in the first, two in the second and one in the third, featuring two goals from Kyler Douglas who had a three-point night.

Ryland Hornung scored the lone goal for the Broncos.

The last time Swift Current won multiple games in a row was when they won three straight on October 21, 28, and 29.

The Broncos will have to wait until Saturday to try to bounce back from their loss when they travel to Lumsden to face the Lions.
