Former Swift Current Comp Colts running back Tristan Lockman saw his first Canadian Junior Football League action as a rookie for the Regina Thunder on Saturday against the Edmonton Wildcats.

In a 55-7 week two win, it comes as no surprise to those who watched the Colts last season that Lockman also found the end zone in the game - the back rushed eight times for 59 yards in the win at Mosaic Stadium.

Last year for the Colts in his senior season, Lockman ran the ball 151 times for 1385 yards and 19 touchdowns, while gaining the Moose Jaw High School Athletic Association Football League's Most Valuable Player award.

Sitting at 1-1 on the season, Lockman and the Regina Thunder will now travel to Hamilton to take on the Hurricanes Sunday, August 27 at Tim Horton's Field.
