Swift Current's Dylan Mortensen was named the University of Saskatchewan Huskies' 'Male Athlete of the Week' on Wednesday.
The honour comes after a dominant effort over the UBC-Okanagan Heat this past weekend, which saw the 6-foot-7 outside hitter rack up 31 kills over two games.
Congrats to our @SKBlueCross Athletes of the Week!

The second-year standout and the Huskies topped the Heat in four sets on the first night (25-14, 26-24, 18-25, 25-22), then cruised to a three-set sweep (25-19, 25-17, 25-19) to round out the weekend set.
Coming off a 2017-18 campaign that saw him crowned both the Canada West and U Sports 'Rookie of the Year', Mortensen leads the Huskies this year in Kills with 147 over 12 games, and is sixth in the Canada West Conference - his 3.42 kills-per-set ranks eighth in the conference.
Meanwhile, the seventh-place Huskies (6-6) are off from conference play until the new year, when they are in the Manitoba capital taking on the Winnipeg Wesmen (4-6) January 4-5.
