Swift Current's Braedon Friesen and Henry Rempel started off their 2017 Canada Summer Games with a three-set win (25-22, 25-20, 25-17) in Men's volleyball against Team Nova Scotia.

The duo now turns their attention to two games today, the first against a strong British Columbia side who easily took care of Team Yukon in straight sets (25-10, 25-15, 25-10) in their first game.

The second match to round out the day is against Prince Edward Island. The Maritime Province fell in three (25-14, 25-8, 25-17) to a dominant Team Quebec in their opening game.

And in more Canada Summer Games action, Swift Current's Tobi Ojo and Team Sask Men's Soccer drew 1-1 against Team British Columbia in their opening match-up of Group C play.

Saskatchewan is back on the pitch today against Nova Scotia - their first match of the tournament.
