The Diamond Energy Female Midget AAA Wildcats were in exhibition action over the weekend in Manitoba, recording a win and a tie.

Having been off from league play since a 7-5 win over the Notre Dame Hounds on October 20, the Wildcats were on the road looking to sharpen their game up before returning to league action this coming weekend.

Eastbound and down over the weekend, the Wildcats earned a 4-1 win over the Westman Wildcats in Waskada, MB on Saturday.

Taylor Lind had a pair of goals leading the way, while fellow forwards Trista Labarowski and Layne Hryhoriw added the others.

Swift out-shot Westman 40-17, with goalie Harper Davey making 16 saves in the win.

Meanwhile on Monday in Winnipeg, the Wildcats drew with the St. Mary's Flames in a 3-3 result.

Three different goal-scorers found the back of the net in Game 2 - Brynne Doerksen, Brooklyn Rublee, and Maddy McCleary. Lind assisted on all three goals.

Goalie Amaya Giraudier stopped 22 of 25 Flames' shots in the tie.

The Wildcats are back to league play this weekend, hosting the Regina Rebels for a pair of games at Fairview West.

Saturday's tilt between the Wildcats (2-3-0-1) and Rebels (6-1-1-0) gets underway at 7:45 p.m.
