Two females face a number of charges after a drug bust Thursday in Swift Current.

Around 6 p.m. on Thursday Swift Current Municipal General Investigation Section, with assistance from Swift Current Municipal Detachment officers, Swift Current Police Dog Section, and the Swift Current Forensic Identification Services executed a warrant at a residence on the 1500 block of Winnie Street East.

A release from the municipal detachment said officers seized larged quantities of drugs, weapons, and cash. The drugs seized were meth, cocaine, and amphetamine worth a street value total of $66,000.

Twenty-nine-year-old Samantha Kallechy of Swift Current was charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking meth, and one count of possession of cocaine, as well as one count of possession of prohibited weapons, one count of possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under the Criminal Code.

She had a court appearance today in Swift Current Provincial Court, and has been remanded until a second appearance on Monday afternoon.

Police say a second female will also be charged with possession of both cocaine and meth.
