The T Rex Discovery Center in Eastend has finished off their 2017 season with increasing numbers of tourists visiting.

The number of visitors to the Center climbed by five percent over the previous year, and since 2014, visitation has grown by 28 percent.

Emily Bamforth is a Paleontologist at the T Rex Discovery Center. She says, "More people are hearing about it. We find that the people are coming from further away. People come here and they have a great time, and they go out and tell people and other people come. So, this year we did have a lot of International visitors. People from U.K., some people from Hong Kong, China, Japan, we had a couple visitors from New Zealand, Switzerland, Norway."

The T Rex Discovery Center is probably best known as the home of Scotty, Canada's, and perhaps the world's, largest T Rex fossil.

Bamforth says the Center is hoping to see even more visitors in 2018, and they will be holding a lot of the same programs as this past season.

The T Rex Discovery Center will open for the 2018 season on the Victoria Day Long Weekend.
