The court cases for two Swift Current residents who have pleaded guilty on multiple charges have been adjourned.

34-year-old Jayce St. Jacques, who was charged with 31 Criminal Code offences in early January, and 23-year-old Porscha Thoreson both appeared by video link in Swift Current Provincial Court Thursday afternoon.

St. Jacques pleaded guilty to 15 of the 31 charges stemming from a month-long span of incidents that including three counts of Evading Police, three counts of Driving while Disqualified and several counts of Break, Enter and Theft.

Thoreson, who was St. Jacques counterpart while committing these acts, also pleaded guilty to counts of theft around the rural southwestern Saskatchewan area.

The crown prosecutor proposed a one-year sentence, minus time served, for Thoreson and two-years, plus time served, for St. Jacques. However, Judge Karl Bazin has adjourned the matter, as he deemed the sentencing proposed by both the Crown and Defense was "too low".

Both individuals have had their cases adjourned until March 20th at 10:30 am. They will be remanded in custody while they await sentencing and will once again appear simultaneously by video for the late-March court date.
