Bail was denied for a man charged after just being released with conditions earlier this week.

Henry Bender appeared in custody in Swift Current Provincial Court for his show-cause hearing yesterday. His bail was denied as Judge Karl Bazin deemed Bender didn't show enough in the reverse-onus situation to make the court believe he wouldn't reoffend.

Bender pleaded guilty to evading police while on a side-by-side UTV ripping through the pedestrian pathway at Elmwood Golf Course on July 12 at 4:45 a.m.

Bender faces other charges though, as it is alleged orange and black Polaris Razor was stolen from Maryville, Sask. on July 9.

Bender breached his conditions allegedly, as police believe he was in Shaunavon Thursday based on an eye-witness report. Bender denied that though.

On July 3 on Airport Road a witness said they gave Bender a boost, and noticed a tarped Yamaha motorcycle that was reported stolen.

It was recovered in Shaunavon on Wednesday.

Bender opted not to go through legal aid, and represented himself instead.

He will appear again on Wednesday.
