A fire this afternoon in Swift Current has caused extensive damage to the interior of a garage.

Around 2:45 p.m. the Swift Current Fire Department were notified of the blaze in the 200 block of Burke Crescent.

Upon arrival, the fire department noted there was heavy black smoke coming from the garage. Crews began to immediately attack the fire and had it under control within minutes.

Nobody was injured in the fire and the cause of it was not released.
