An RCMP officer with 15 years of service made a court appearance yesterday in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on impaired-driving charges.

Sergeant Donald Duplissea of the Assiniboia detachment had his case adjourned to August 15 at 9:30 a.m.

His defence had already received initial disclosure, but yesterday morning they received additional disclosure which they'll have an extra week to review.

Just after midnight on July 22 Assiniboia RCMP responded to a complaint of a disturbance at Wood Mountain Provincial Park.

According to the Assiniboia detachment, Duplissea, who was off duty, was the subject of the complaint and had left the park. A traffic stop resulted in charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content above .08.

Duplissea was placed on administrative duties, and an RCMP Code of Conduct investigation was ordered.
