Today is a big day in the community of Eastend.

Scotty the T Rex is celebrating her 65th million and 27th birthday today at the T Rex Discovery Center.

Janise Michel is an Interpreter at the Center. She says "We celebrate every year. August the 16th is Scotty the T Rex's birthday, and it's just a really good reason to celebrate our T Rex here in Eastend."

There's all kinds of family events happening this afternoon at the Discovery Center as well as birthday cake, and treat bags for the kids.
