After 18 months as the Chief Executive Officer for the Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce, Clayton Wicks has resigned from his position effective immediately.

The Board of Directors of the Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce will be issuing a Request for Proposals, in the coming days to appoint a replacement for the contract position.

"The Board appreciates Clayton's work as CEO over the past 18 months and we acknowledge his involvement as a past Director on the Board," said Brock Friesen, Board Chair. "We wish Clayton well in his future endeavours."

"The Chamber has worked hard this year to raise the organization's visibility in the business community and increase the value our members receive," said Friesen, referencing the sold-out Farmer's Appreciation Night held in March and the recent Chamber on Tap event at the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, earlier this month, as being the highest attended Chamber networking event this year.

The Chamber of Commerce is reassuring members that upcoming events will continue and in the interim basis, the Board of Directors Executive Committee along with Executive Assistant, Mike Rogowski, will oversee the daily operations of the Chamber.
