A cross-country convoy made a stop in Swift Current over the weekend on their journey to raise awareness.

Paddy Quiring is walking, cycling, and running across Canada, with Walter Janzen, a photographer, who is driving alongside her.

Paddy is walking to raise awareness and bring people together who suffer from addiction, as well as emotional, physical and spiritual health problems.

"When people struggle, society has a tendency to label them. So I want to take that stigma away and talk about the great things that people are doing to move forward and help one another. And just love and use their gift to create hope and freedom for everyone that's looking to move forward with their journey," she said.

For Quiring personally, the death of her husband in April, 2016, is helping motivate her during the journey.

"I'm mainly running for my husband's legacy. He was a wonderful man, father, man of faith, and a great provider."

Along with the photographs from Janzen, Quiring is blogging in hopes of creating a book to share with individuals who struggle from addiction, as well as numerous health problems move forward "out of pain and into passion."
