Now into the fourth day since a tragic car crash south of the border involving Swift Current's Marvin Knutson, members of the community are continuing to show their support of the beloved southwest resident.

Knutson enjoyed working in the community and was an avid member of the Swift Current Rotary Club.

"We just feel that it was a big loss for us as a community, and he will be remembered for all of the good things that he did," said Bula Ghosh, President of the Rotary Club. "One day, we all will be gone from this world, but what we do for the community is what will be remembered and valued in the long-run."

The 72-year old Knutson was killed Saturday night on I-15 south of Great Falls, Montana in a hit-and-run after being hit by a semi tractor-trailer.

The Montana Highway Patrol is still searching for the driver of the tractor-trailer who fled the scene of the incident.

The tractor-trailer was reportedly hauling two-by-four pieces of lumber, and pulled in front of Knutson's van, pushing him off of the road.

Knutson was on his way back to Saskatchewan from Arizona, where he had spent the winter season.

Ghosh says she was looking forward to seeing him at the Rotary Club's Lobsterfest event this upcoming Saturday, April 22nd.

Updates will continue to be given once they arise from the Montana Highway Patrol's investigation into the hit-and-run.

As well, more community reaction will be provided over the coming days.
