Wildfire evacuations were lifted several communities this morning.

After yesterday's infernos - which flared in a number of places in Saskatchewan - the Towns of Leader, Burstall, RM of Deerforks, and Village of Mendham were evacuated.

A number of communities were also put on watch, including Eatonia, while Acadia Valley and the RM of Empress in Alberta had their evacuation orders lifted late last night.

It was a busy night for firefighters throughout southwest and west-central Saskatchewan, as well as those that went to help.

The City of Swift Current sent people to Burstall, while the RM of Swift Current had forces in Tompkins, but they also had power outages in the city to deal with.
