A two-car collision near Maple Creek on Sunday has left one woman deceased, and one man with life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday at around 8 p.m., Maple Creek RCMP, Fire Department, and EMS were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 21 about two kilometres north of Maple Creek.

The 50-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the 55-year-old man was taken to a hospital in Regina by STARS.

The highway was blocked by the collision for several hours to conduct an investigation, as well as to clean up the scene.

The highway is currently re-opened and is supporting normal traffic flow.
