Yesterday was the first day of Summer and Golden West Radio kicked it off with their annual Listener Appreciation Day in Swift Current.

Over 900 hot dogs were served up in the hour and a half event that was held just in front of the Innovation Credit Union Centre.

Mike Saretsky, station and general sales manager for Swift Current's Golden West Radio Broadcasting, was pleased with listener turnout who had a chance to meet the faces behind the microphones.

"For us, it's just connecting with our audience," he said. "In line, it was fun to watch lots of people come up and go 'oh that's Marcus from CMR afternoons, and that's Mark, and that's Glenn'. It's great for our audience who hear us every day, to actually see us."

CJSN in Shaunavon held their Listener Appreciation Day earlier today with help from the Shaunavon Fire Department.
