A man is charged and in custody stemming from the hit-and-run in Montana that killed Swift Current's Marvin Knutson.

Montana's KRTV reports that Jaroglav Kleberc was located and detained in Katy, Texas, on April 18th.

Kleberc has been charged with negligent homicide, tampering with physical evidence, and failure to remain at an accident scene - all are felonies.

KRTV also states court documents allege that after the crash, Kleberc stopped in Hardin, Montana. Farmers witnessed damage to Kleberc's trailer, along with red transfer paint. Kleberc reportedly told the farmers that he had hit a deer.

Kleberc was pulled over in Colorado by the Springfield Police Department at a later date, but court documents state Kleberc had his trailer repaired by that time, so Police could not match the trailer.

According to KRTV, Deputy Cascade County Attorney Josh Racki says Kleberc is still in Texas and has waived his extradition.

In cooperation with KRTV, Swift Current Online will provide updates on the matter as they arise.
