1st Avenue Northeast was lined with cars and motorcycles on Saturday.

Over 50 vehicles ranging from a 1934 Ford Model A to a 2012 Ford Mustang participated in the sixth-annual Crusin' in the Market Show and Shine.

Tim Marcus, the CAO for the City of Swift Current, said that it was a great event to get people to come out to Market Square that might not usually come out.

"It’s a special Market Square day that happens once a year in September," Marcus said. "It’s a nice way to have some cars on display and get people to take a look at the cars and the market."

The event wasn’t just a chance for people to show off their vehicles but was also for a good cause as everyone who entered brought a donation to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

People came from as far as California and Calgary to participate in the show and shine.

There was also an awards ceremony where the winner got a lawn chair and a $50 gift card.
