TC Energy is a leading North American energy infrastructure company that constructs and operates natural gas, liquid and power generation infrastructure across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.

Starting this September, pending approval, the company will be building a natural gas Meter Station 15 kilometers south east of Shaunavon.

Matthew Tully is the Project Manager with TC Energy.  He explains what the station will look like, "We'll have a footprint of approximately 50 meters square. We'll have three buildings on site. We'll have a communications building, and we have two meter run buildings with the associated above ground piping. And all this contained within a fenced and graveled yard."

In Saskatchewan, they operate the Canadian Mainline, Foothills Pipeline and Keystone Pipeline and this project is a component of that.

Tully says work should be complete by November. There will be a construction work crew of about 14 people.

The Meter Station's estimated cost is 4.6 million dollars.

No local jobs will be available, as the Station is an unstaffed facility that is continually monitored.
