A semi rollover near the Town of Burstall has claimed the life of an 18-year-old male.

Members from the Leader RCMP detachment along with Leader and Burstall Fire and EMS responded to the call at approximately 7 p.m. on September 7.

The RCMP stated in a release the semi unit carrying diesel fuel was travelling on the Mendham Grid had left the roadway and rolled.

Two 18-year-old males were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

One was transported by STARS helicopter for medical attention but was later pronounced deceased.

The second male was transported to a hospital with undetermined injuries.
