Remembrance Day is Saturday November 11th.

The community of Shaunavon will be honoring their veterans, starting today, with an unveiling of the World War One Cenotaph Scrolls.

Joanne Gregoire is the Director of Economic Development and Culture for the Town of Shaunavon. She welcomes everyone to stop by the Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Center this afternoon for the unveiling of the Scrolls. "These Scrolls, containing names of men from the Southwest who enrolled in World War One, were discovered during restoration of Cenotaph in Memorial Park. The afternoon will begin with a short unveiling ceremony at two p.m. following which you are invited to view our slide show of war photos and tour our museum war displays."

Remembrance Day Services in Shaunavon happen on Saturday starting at 10:45 a.m. at the Legion Hall. The March to the Cenotaph will follow the service.
