Everett Hindley, the Sask Party candidate in the upcoming Swift Current byelection, opened his office to a warm welcome from his supporters on Saturday.

"It was almost a second opening," said Hindley, of the office located on South Service Road East, beside Subway. "We had a lot of people here when the Premier was in town, but it's good to have a nice crowd here to recognize the volunteers that are apart of the team and the local membership."

"We got a lot of people excited about the byelection, and it's was a good opening, a good crowd, with good energy," Hindley noted.

He said the opening was also a way to recognize the work his team has done in preparation for the upcoming byelection.

"You can't do it without a team," he admitted. "It's one thing to have a candidate, but you need people to answer phones, take orders for lawn signs, and sell memberships and all that stuff. You need someone to organize things and inform people about their voting options."

Hindley added that the office space is just a temporary set-up until the March 1 byelection.
