At Monday night's city council meeting in Swift Current, police said they're still looking for a man that's been missing since a November 16 collision that left a truck in the creek.

City RCMP Staff Sergeant Gary Hodges is hoping people will tell police if they know anything of Colton Koop's whereabouts.

"We're still attempting to located him, and believe him to be the driver of the vehicle," Hodges said. "Our members are actively pursuing that still, and we will until such time as we can see him in front of us."

Police responded to a call of a truck partly submerged in the frozen creek on November 16 around 6 a.m., and searches of the water and land have so far yielded negative results.

"We aren't looking to arrest him, all we want to do is make sure that he's safe for his family's sake. So that's a focus that we need to do daily to work on."
