It was a coffeehouse atmosphere that drew a crowd of about 60 people out to the premier performance of the Shaunavon Arts Council's Stars for Saskatchewan Concert Series.

The group "Ghost Boy", which included Denis Dufresne who has family ties to Shaunavon, put on a high energy show for all ages.

Wendy Thienes from the Shaunavon Arts Council explains where the money goes from their ticket sales. "So Shaunavon Arts Council basically exists to bring visual arts and performing arts to our community through the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils. So, your ticket cost is basically helping to pay for these performers that we bring out to the community. We keep our ticket costs very low."

There are three more concerts coming up in this season's series. The next performance happens in January.
