A grain company called Adroit Overseas has recently purchased the Shaunavon Elevator and will be looking to start shipping from there very soon.

Manraj Sandhu is the Operations Manager for Saskatchewan for Adroit Overseas. He said, "We had a dream of basically getting more grain in the area. And, once we knew that this elevator was for sale, we thought it would be a good place to bring another facility and buy a lot of grain from the area."

The company, which built a new terminal in the last few years at Neville, is looking at the possibility, if all goes well, to build the same kind of facility in Shaunavon, possibly within the next two years. In the meantime, the company is looking to expand and add more rail cars.

Local staff will be hired Sandhu adds and their targeted opening date will be either September 15 or October 1.
